Golf is one of the best type of team building days for the office. This is not the first type of activity that comes to mind when you are trying to organise team building days. Some of these reasons that make it so good are Enjoyable , Connections Developed, Bonding Outside Workplace, find solutions to small problems. 

Enjoyable 

The staff in your company need an outlet to take some time off to relax and unwind . this is increasingly important with many of our workloads growing. This leaves us  with very little time to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Everyone needs a outlet to switch off for all of your worries and just clear your mind . This is also linked with mindful and positive mental health which has been increasingly important in recent years. 

Connections Developed  

When playing golf with other staff members from the company, friendships are developed and connections are formed. This is important as there are many reasons why a person peruses to improve their career. This would increase the persons skillset which will benefit the person themselves and the company. 

Friendships outside workplace 

There will be serval people have a strong interest in playing golf in the workplace. This will form connections amongst colleagues. These connections will create friendships which will help the person develop within the company. When a person has strong connections in the company they communicate more efficantly. This is possible when everyone does a similar task to find a connection. 

Find solution for small problems 

When you’re playing golf in groups you will be discussing topics of problems which you may have faced in work or in your personal life outside of work .  Some of these problems could be in relation to computers or they could be having with mobile phones. Some of these solutions could be used in the workplace and might not have been discussed at any workplace meeting. 

Conclusion 

I think it is very important that people in the workplace try and take time out of our busy lives and get to know our staff members around us .
